Bailar Conmigo 2.0: A Memorable Journey in Delhi (May 2024)
Bailar Conmigo 2.0, held in the vibrant city of Delhi in May 2024, was an unforgettable experience that brought together dance enthusiasts and professionals from across the country. Akshay was invited to share his expertise as a Kizomba artist at this prestigious event, and I had the privilege of accompanying him as his assistant.
One of the highlights of our participation was the opportunity to conduct a workshop titled “Kizomba Hug, Kizomba Connection.” This session, specially curated for beginners and improvers, focused on the essence of Kizomba—its embrace and connection.
Through this workshop, we aimed to introduce participants to the foundational elements of Kizomba, emphasising the importance of connection between partners, fluidity in movement, and the unique intimacy that defines the dance. It was rewarding to witness the enthusiasm and growth of our participants as they embraced the rhythm and spirit of Kizomba.
Bailar Conmigo 2.0 was not just an event but a celebration of dance and community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to its success.
